Certifications:

Born and raised in Marshfield Wisconsin. Life revolved around sports as a 4-year letter winner in

basketball, 3 year in football, and 3 year in golf. My eyes were set on playing division II basketball for the

University of Duluth when a knee injury change the plans. After a year at Duluth I took a semester off

and transferred to UWEC. This is where I found my passion for fitness. Since sports where gone I found

the gym a place to channel my inner athlete and competitor. Every day competing against myself to be

better. This was when I switch majors from accountant to Kinesiology. With my mind set on Physical

Therapy, I had some Physical Therapist talk me out of it. Concluding that my talent was best used

helping others in a gym setting. Thus Be Bold Personal Training LLC was created.

Chris was born and raised in Wausau, Wisconsin. Early in his high school years, he became very interested in everything related to physical fitness. It all started with a rusty old bench press and a curl bar in his parent’s garage. Throughout high school and college this interest continued, eventually leading into becoming a certified personal trainer. "When I look at exercise and fitness, I don’t see it as something I have to do but as a part of my life. That being said, the only way I believe a person will see results is through proper diet and hard work. There is no way around that. This is how I go about training my clients, my class, and myself. It is a no nonsense approach but is effective." Chris has personally competed in multiple 5ks and weight lifting events. He placed in the top 1% of Tough Mudder Minnesota as well. Through the combination of weight training, cardio conditioning, and a healthy diet, he can help you achieve your goals.

ABBY RUPPEL

Hi fitness lovers! My name is Abby and I am a TRX trainer here at LIFT. I've always been involved in organized sports, so I can't tell you when my journey to fitness began. If I had to guess I'd say probably when I learned to balance on two feet! I grew up playing basketball, volleyball, and swimming. In adulthood I've gravitated toward the fitness classes I like to teach as well as running, biking, and most things involving the great outdoors. I grew in Wausau and graduated from UW - La Crosse in 2013, only to find life bringing me back here to marry a great guy and operating a running shoe store in Weston. My degree is in Public Health Education and I use that knowledge every day at our store, teaching group exercise classes, or just making conversation with people who have an interest in their health. Teaching is about much more than the skills learned, it's about relationship and doing life alongside one another. It has been a joy to develop new friendships and continue those built years ago. Hope to see you in a class soon!

Melissa was born and raised in Abbostford WI where there was

nothing else to do except be active, be involved in school

activities and play sports.  During high school, her love of

fitness began as she worked at the first gym to open in the

rural area while continuing to play volleyball, basketball and

softball.  While moving onto St Norbert college to study

education, she worked at the local YMCA because fitness

was such an integral part of her life.  After graduating, she

moved to Milwaukee to be with her husband and went back

to school at Carroll College for her masters in health promotion

and adult education.  During that time, she was the health and

wellness director at two different YMCA’s in the Milwaukee area.

Melissa became pregnant with their first son and decided to

move closer to family where she worked as the health and

wellness director in Wausau as well.  Deciding to center her life

more around family, Melissa decided to cut down on her

workload and focus on her true passion...group exercise.

“There is something electric about being part of a

community that only involves positivity, betterment-physically

and emotionally, and motivation.  It’s moving for everyone

involved”.  Melissa enjoys time with her two boys and all of

their activities, hiking with her husband and dog, Emma, coffee

dates with friends, volunteering in the community, music,

traveling, triathlons and reading when time permits.

I have had a lot of personal struggles in my life including; death of a parent at an early age, being overweight & lots of depression, very - very low self esteem, S.A.D. and postpartum.
